Paul Archer is co-founder of International Payment Solutions and leads the product, brand, and positioning of the company. A British national who has built his life in Brazil, Paul brings the cross-cultural perspective and operating instincts that shape how IPS presents itself to the institutional partners, regulators, and customers it serves.

Paul currently serves as Creative Director at LŪMINĀRE, a motion post-production studio delivering finishing, VFX, and compositing for global campaigns. Earlier he founded and led CLOSER, a high-end stills retouching studio that worked with photographers, agencies, and global brands for more than seven years. Across both, his throughline has been operational craft: the discipline of building work that holds up to close inspection by sophisticated clients.

Paul's role at IPS extends this discipline into the company's product surface and institutional positioning. He is responsible for ensuring the customer-facing experience of IPS products and the institutional reading experience of IPS.finance reflect the same standard of consideration the company applies to its underlying compliance and engineering work. The visual language, the tone of voice, the operational details that signal seriousness to a partner bank's compliance team — these are owned in Paul's chair.

Beyond the studio work, Paul has spent the past several years embedded in the Brazilian commercial and regulatory environment, building the relationships and operational understanding that inform IPS's structural choices. He works fluently across English and Portuguese and is the company's primary point of contact for partner-bank and investor conversations where positioning, narrative, and commercial framing matter.

James Biviano is co-founder of International Payment Solutions and leads the company's engineering function. He brings over twenty years of software engineering experience across enterprise infrastructure, fintech, and regulated systems. Prior to founding IPS, James held senior engineering roles at Botkeeper, Riachuelo, and Carta.

Earlier in his career he co-founded Webvantage, an Australian SaaS company whose PCI-DSS-compliant application platform served Australia Post, Queensland Rail, Lion Nathan, and Honda MPE, among other major Australian institutions. An Australian citizen with permanent residency in Brazil, James works fluently in both English and Brazilian Portuguese and brings the cross-border technical and regulatory perspective that IPS is structurally built around.
